Why We Built This Site
Tennessee gives the public broad access to court records, but the hard part is figuring out which office holds the file you want. In Williamson County, the Circuit Court Clerk handles Circuit, General Sessions, and Juvenile cases. The Clerk and Master is the Chancery Court clerk and runs probate and equity filings. The County Clerk handles marriage licenses and other county business. The Sheriff manages the John I. Easley Jr. Criminal Justice Center, plus warrants and court services. Add the Tennessee Department of Correction, the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, and the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Tennessee, and the picture gets crowded fast. We pull together the contact details, search portals, fee guidance, and request steps for each of these offices into one place.

Only the issuing court or government office can provide a certified copy with an official seal. We can point you to the right office, but the document has to come from them.
